Summary: Sharing 1 car and biking and walking to run errands etc., saves energy, cuts back on greenhouse gasses, and gets you some exercise in the process!

Author's statement:
Not everyone has the means to buy an electric car to get completely away from fossil fuels. But what everyone can do is look at how much they drive and decide to NOT drive the car when they can. My wife and I tried an experiment. We parked my car and pretended we only had one car (like my grandparents did!) to see if we could work out our schedules and make due. It worked! Two months later we sold my car and our walking has turned into a daily routine that gets us exercise and a few things from the corner market 2 miles away. It saves money and saves energy.
