Other information: Naturally dyed using flowers, leaves, seeds, bark and earth to create a vibrant range of colors. One side is a batik print, the other is natural oatmeal color. Hemp is a durable fire and mold resistant fabric that softens with use. It stands up well to repeated washings. However, the natural dyes retain their color best if the fabric is not put into the dryer. Heat can fade colors. The same is true for the batik patterned material, such as with the accent pillows. Cold machine wash on delicate cycle, then hang dry or air dry in machine. Hot iron may be used if necessary. Kapok is a natural, silky fiber obtained from the fruit of the silk-cotton tree and is used for insulation and as padding in pillows, mattresses, and life preservers.
