I think this is a good guideline.  I
would like to point out, however, that
sometimes the bike traffic laws are
just there because of the car laws.  For
instance, consider an intersection like
this:

         |
         |
         |
    -----|
         |
         |
         

   If I am driving up the 'lines' in a bike 
lane, then I should not have to stop for
a red light or a stop sign.  I have my 
own lane and would not be affected by
cars making lefts or rights onto the 
my road.
