You should at least make sure you are
not eating animal flesh that has been
poisoned with growth hormones and that
it is truly free-range and lived in a
healthy manner while alive. It's still
pretty mean to kill an innocent animal for
food since it's not necessary if you have
the resources and means to eat a vegan diet.
